You design recruitment processes, so why can't you land your own dream job?

How is it possible that the people who design hiring processes are the worst at getting hired themselves? I know that HR leaders in particular struggle with their job search.

It’s not just the market. It’s the fact that they feel like they SHOULD know exactly what to do. But they don’t.

When they receive those terrible auto-rejection emails and submit online applications that just go into a black hole, they think to themselves, “Why is this happening to me? I’m the one that designs these recruitment processes. Why can’t I figure out how to find a job?”

And for a profession that is so accustomed to feedback – HR leaders often incorporate feedback loops into team meetings and encourage their business stakeholders to do the same – the complete lack of feedback that is received during the job search process can feel absolutely soul-destroying.

And then there is the loneliness… the sense that you are the only one who is feeling this way.

Your ex-colleagues stopped responding to your WhatsApp messages—your last message only has one tick.

Your LinkedIn connection requests are going unanswered.

You had one great chat with a headhunter who then ghosted you.

Your networking coffee chats have run dry.

You are scrolling through LinkedIn, enviously watching your peers announce promotions and new roles. Roles that YOU are qualified for.

You are asking yourself, “Is it me? What am I doing wrong?”

I’m here to tell you that it’s NOT you. But, you might be doing a few things wrong.

That’s why I created the “Job Search Accelerator for Women in HR.” It’s to help HR leaders just like you to get out of feeling stuck and get to a point where you are sought-after for jobs you love at companies you’d kill to work for.

To support you, the JSA has 1:1 personalized coaching, expert led training, professional group coaching, structured peer coaching, and case studies from other successful HR leaders.

But the most important part of the JSA is the HR community. We keep the cohort small (6 participants) so you’ll get a chance to learn from a whole new community of HR peers who will help you get fresh perspective on your situation and your search. In our first cohort, the HR community was cited as the #1 most loved feature of the program. Check out the testimonial from a participant in our first cohort.

The JSA HR community:

·       Shares job postings that might be relevant for others in the group

·       Provides positive encouragement when others are having a rough day

·       Celebrates each other’s wins (like securing an interview!)

·       Shares resources that might be valuable, like articles, podcasts and YouTube videos

·       Gives constructive feedback on each other’s job search strategy

·       And gives each other a good laugh (like when we find job descriptions that ask for outrageous qualifications!)

I also share a “Monday Morning Motivator” each week which helps the group stay accountable and reflect on the learning from our bi-weekly workshops.

And in this upcoming cohort, we are introducing self-led peer coaching circles. This is an opportunity to deepen the learning from the live biweekly workshops and give you more opportunity to learn from and share with the rest of the community.

Interested to find out more? Join one of our upcoming Masterclasses on July 14th at 20:00 SGT or July 16th at 8:00 SGT (repeated content). The “Unlock Your HR Career Potential” Masterclass focuses on personal branding, strategic storytelling, and targeted networking. You'll gain everything you need to command attention and land the role you deserve in today's competitive HR job market.

And if you attend the masterclass live, you'll be eligible for 2 special bonuses when you choose to join the Job Search Accelerator for Women in HR. You can RSVP here.

Step out of the loneliness and into a community of like-minded peers who gets where you are coming from, understand where you want to go and can give you advice and feedback on how to get there.
