Check out this article I wrote for Lee Hecht Harrison about my own personal experience both being a supportive career coach and navigating my own career transition. My three observations:
✅ Mindset: It's the role being made redundant, not YOU. Focus on defining the next step in your career path.
✅ Expertise: Activity and mindset are both important, but leverage expertise and networks to ensure the right impact.
✅ Support: Leverage your network to create a support team around you. Job searching can be isolating and lonely. Find positive people who can join your support team.
For most of us, career transition can be a stressful experience but with the right mindset, expertise and support you can turn it into an opportunity.
